Comments: I lived near Ellen and spent a lot of time with her back when she was first starting to think about making a business out of breeding and raising the best-loved pet cockatiels around. I'm glad to see that things are going so well, and sorry we lost touch.

I'm proud to say that a portion of her genetic stock came from my own pair, and two of my tiels hatched in her home.

Ellen--they're all doing fine. C and T are still in love and not laying eggs. Nutmeg finally decided to lay a few and got tired of them within a few days. Now that she's all grown up, I can say she is definitely Jessi's daughter, the sweet little brat. Rafael turned out to be female and is currently sitting on Meggie's eggs. They're all wonderful, spoiled, and happy, and I'm doing pretty well too.

Looks like you're raising beautiful birds, and doing it right. I'm so glad to see it. Kiss the babies for me.

Comments: My Cockatiel Beaker and My Parakeet Ernie both Two years young died yesturday due to my husband boiling water too long in a tephlon pan which we had no idea was dangerous. Please spread the word. This tragedy did not have to happen. I Keep telling myself that they did not suffer, but I am sure that had to have been a terrible way to pass on to birdie heaven.
